Arizona Vacation (Part 1)

Let me first start out by saying "Arizona was wonderful!" We were SOOooo excited to go back to Arizona that we decided to make a vacation of it! We left Saturday morning and we made up our minds that we were going to take our time travelling! Our first stop was at an Antique store in Helper. For those of you that know Nannie, you know she loves the antique stores! Brian showed us where he lived while he served there on his mission, and then we made our way down Highway 6. As we came into Price, we decided that we needed to stop at the Dinosaur Museum...that was more fun than I thought it would be. The kids liked it a lot and Lauren took about 100 pictures, documenting everything she thought was neat. We then decided we could wait for lunch, and we headed down the road toward Arches. Upon arriving in Arches/Moab we quickly realized that we could spend several days in that area (we'll have to plan another trip later), so we had a picnic lunch and headed down the road. Brian took us through another one of the areas he served in on his mission, Mexican Hat, and we also stopped at Gooseneck State Park. We finally made it to our hotel in Kayenta, AZ in time to go to bed. Phew! It was really a long day, but we had a blast!

How fun! We LOVE arches and moab...definitely a place to go back and spend a few days. Sandune arch and the Fiery Furnace hike are a couple of our faves... Glad you had a good time!

I'd love to go back to moab. Very cool. We tried to stop by the dino museum but it was closed the day we went thru. I'm sure it was way more better than the one goofy dino they have at the mckinley museum. Ha!
