Time flies

Time flies when you're having fun, right? Well, I'm not so sure about the "having fun" part all the time, but around here time certainly does fly! Last weekend, we celebrated Sydne's birthday...can you believe this little cutie is 5 already? We had a lot of fun, and we are looking forward to Lybbe's baptism next weekend.

Mom and Dad got a new little puppy...can we say SPOILED! Sophie Bell is adorable and she goes everywhere with Mom!
I signed Zach, Lauren + Tess up for Soccer today...but it doesn't start until the end of April. I'm excited! I love to go and watch their games and cheer them on. Lauren and Tess will hopefully be put on the same team (I'll see if they honor my request). Hopefully, that will eliminate some of our time spent in the car, running around. I signed them up at the Community Center about 15-20 minutes down the road, so I'm assuming that their practices will be down there somewhere as well.

Well, that's what we've been up to lately (at least that's all that I can think of right now).

Love and best wishes, Kim

Happy Birthday Sydne-sue, We love you!

My Valentines

Our Valentine celebrations started on Friday...the kids were so excited to take their valentine treats to their friends at school, and of course they all had fun class parties. I got the kids off to school, got Ella's hair done (she wanted me to do her hair in curlers for her party...photos below), took Ella to preschool, went to Lauren's RAD Kids graduation/demonstration, headed up to Tess' class party to help, came home to make pizza for the kids, popped popcorn for them to eat while they watched "Madagascar 2", got ready to go to dinner with Brian (Nannie and Papa watched the kids for us while we went to dinner with our friends Mike and Heidi). It was a WONDERFUL, wonderful day!
On Saturday, Brian surprised all his girls with a day at the spa (he treated us all to a manicure and pedicure....isn't he just the sweetest?)! Well, let me clarify, he gave us the gift card but I haven't made the appointment yet. I think I'll wait until it decides to start warming up here first. Brian started getting sick Thursday night and Friday but by Saturday night he was miserable. The kids wanted to watch "Madagascar 2" again so we put them upstairs while we watched our movie, "Nights in Rodanthe" (which, by the way, wasn't nearly as good as I remember the novel being).

I want to let my family and friends know how much I love and appreciate them. I have been blessed to have so many great friends in my life...friends from many different phases, and friends from all over. You know who you are and how much you've touch my life...thank you! It goes without saying how grateful I am to my family (Brian's family included) for everything....I love you! To Brian, Zach, Lauren, Tess + Ella, I'm eternally grateful to be your wife/mother!

Go Lauren!

Catching Up...

Because I have been so terrible at blogging lately, I now have to play catch up. I know it's lame but this is my excuse...I have been trying to figure out how to make my own, personlized background/template and that has taken up WAY TOO MUCH of my time. That's all I have been able to focus my attention on lately. I still haven't figured it out yet (I know Katie, I'm a little slow) but I'll get it someday.
January was a fun month! Grandma and Grandpa went to California to visit Kaylene and Curtis (Happy Birthday and Congrats Jared!) on to LV to visit Aunt Geneva and Uncle Doug, and then a stop here on their way home to visit us. We sure do have fun when Grandma and Grandpa visit. Tetherball games, puzzles, BYU basketball, cards, board games...fun, fun and more fun. I've found that I'm not very patient when it comes to puzzles, but we had a great time nonetheless. We sure do love them a lot, and we appreciate them spending time here with us!
