My Sweet little Ella

The other day Ella and I were running errands with my mom, and this is what we did to kill some time as we were waiting for her...ENJOY!

Oh, by the way...you'll want to pause the music before you try to watch the video.

Lybbe's Baptism

What a special day we had on the 7th. We travelled up for Lybbe's baptism and it was so nice. We're so proud of her! She's such a good girl and a great helper to Michael + Bekah. You are so loved Lybbe, always remember that! We were so happy to be with you on your special day!

Devan's Birthday

It's hard to believe that Dev is "9". They came over on Saturday and we had a lot of fun. The weather was beautiful, so we were able to break out the grill. We had delicious bbq chicken, and hot dogs...yummy, yummy! The kids played outside and the adults, well, we were actually able to carry on a conversation. How nice is that? Happy birthday "Big D" ...we love you more than words!

Women

I LOVE this, and when I read it I knew that I wanted to post it on my blog...thanks Melinda!

Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.

Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

a Final and Church Lady stuff

Just an update...we're doin' good. Brian's Final Project is due tomorrow morning, and he's been staying at his office late every night to get it done. Poor guy, he just can't seem to find enough time to fit it all in.

I had a Church Lady meeting last night and we learned about Family History and Blogging. It was such a good meeting. The lady who taught the class said that on her blog she has given everyone anonymous names, and she refers to Relief Society/Enrichment stuff as Church Lady stuff. I thought that was very cute, and maybe easier for some people to understand. She taught us about "being safe" ...like don't take pictures of your kids in front of their school where people could see the name of your child's school...don't use last names for anyone...don't write about your husband going out of town before-hand...don't write about going on vacations before-hand (talking about these things after-the-fact is fine and you should record your memories)...well, you get the idea. It was very insightful! I am going to do better at blogging more consistently. Kaylene, for you, I'll try to journal our "bad days"...that was something we talked about last night as well. I'll do better, I promise!

Brian just called and he's on his way home already. That means he's finished with his Final (or else he's just tired of working on it). Either way, he's coming home and we'll be eating dinner together as a family...I just LOVE THAT!

Love, Kim
