Father's Day

We all enjoyed a nice Father's Day this year. We went to church, went for a drive up in the hills, came home and had a nice BBQ with my Mom, Dad, Michael, Bekah and their kids. It was so nice to be able to just relax and enjoy each others company. It was Colton's birthday on the Friday before and we had a little cake to celebrate the big "3". It was a nice evening! Brian and I are truly grateful to have been blessed with such wonderful, hard-working men as our fathers. We love you both.

Happy Birthday to Colton! We love you!

Tess' Dune Buggy Excursion

I know how horrible I have been lately, but summer is here and we have been keeping busy. It has been so nice to have warm sunny weather everyday...it almost reminds me of AZ. Anyhow, as I have been going through some pictures lately, I've notices a few things that I should have been journaling. Every summer in our neck of the woods we have "Pony Express Days". Lots and lots of fun stuff for the kids to do, they have a blast. This year Brian got tickets to do a dune buggy tour. My dad wasn't able to make it home in time to go with him, so Tess ended up getting to go. She had a BLAST. They went up into the hills behind our house and she just loved it. Brian asked her, as they were going up this really steep hill, if she was nervous. She said "Are we going to be coming down this hill?" He told her they probably would be, and she said, "That's going to be TOTALLY AWESOME!" NO FEAR, huh? She definitely doesn't get that from her Mommy, that's for sure! As you can see from the pictures they got nasty muddy, and for Tess (Tessy Messy) that was just an added bonus! Brian was worried that she was going to ruin her cute outfit, so he let he borrow his sweatshirt. Enjoy the photos!

Welcome, Gracie Mae

Well, we got a new little puppy. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time, and we got her on Memorial Day. She sure is a cutey. She's a miniature schnauzer, just like Griff. I was very nervous about how Griff would react to our little addition, but he's been a very well-mannered "big brother". She sure is fiesty though, and at times I have to pull her away from him. The kids absolutely love and adore her...she's a keeper, and we're glad to have her.

Zach's May Pack Meeting

Zach has been working really hard in Cub Scouts and I have been really proud of him for his motivation. At the Pack Meeting in May he earned 2 really big badges...his Webelos Badge and the Religious Knot (plus his Citizenship pin)...way to go Buddy! His scout leaders are WONDERFUL and my thanks go out to them for being on-the-ball.
Until next time...Love, Kim

The girls...being girls

Lauren & Tess' Dance Recital

Lauren and Tess had a dance recital at the school on May 16th. They practiced all year for this, and it turned out really cute. Lauren was a little more reserved than Tess was, but they had a blast. I was impressed by how many routines each age group had. The theme for the evening was "Dancing at the Movies". It was very entertaining to say the least. After the recital we took the girls to get some ice cream....a perfect ending for the evening.

Love to all, Kim
