So, I want to send a special thank you to my family and friends for making my birthday so special. "THANK YOU!!" Thanks for thinking of me and thanks for all of your well wishes.
Ella and I had a fun day while the kids were at school...we took our time getting ready in the morning, we went to a very yummy bakery in American Fork for lunch, stopped at Costco to get some much needed groceries, and then headed home to pick the kids up at school. Brian came home a little early, we went to this new place and got a smoothie (one of my favorite things), took the kids to see the new Narnia movie (very good by the way), and then got an ice cream cone on the way home. I think we'll have cake and ice cream sometime this weekend with my family...I know my kids would just have a fit if we skipped that part of the celebration (It IS their absolute favorite part about having a birthday). Plans have been made to go out with some of my girlfriends Friday night, and I am so excited that Brian and I are going to do something, just the two of us, as well (we really should do that more often).
Every year that passes, I get a little more reflective, and I would feel horrible if I didn't take a moment and give thanks for all of my blessings. I am so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life; for the strength, comfort and peace it brings to me. I am so grateful for two wonderful parents who not only raised me, but who still continue to love me unconditionally. I am so blessed to have such a loving husband who is so thoughtful and patient. He is such a good man....I love you Bri. I am grateful for my 4 wonderful children who fill my days with love and laughter (among the tears and temper tantrums)....Zach is growing up so fast and becoming such a wonderful young boy (I fear if I say anything else he'll be embarrassed beyond belief). Lauren has become such a loyal, responsible, beautiful little mommy in our family...she is such a blessing to me. Tess...well, what do I say about Tess. Tess has been my comic relief since birth...without her silliness I feel that I may have been committed long ago. She has such a quirky and fun-loving personality. Last, but not least...Ella Bella. Ella will always be my baby, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be spending so much one-on-one time with her.....she's my little old lady and we have so much fun together.
Blah, blah, blah....yadda-yadda. Enough of the sappiness, huh?
I'll end for now....love and best wishes - Kim

Mother's Day
I am so ashamed that it's been over a month since my last post. Honestly, I can't believe it!
Well....Mother's Day was wonderful! Everyone came over after we got home from church (our schedule now is 1:00-4:00...YUK) and I was able to celebrate with my Mom and Bekah. It was nice to have my whole family over and Ella has been talking about playing with Colton and Sydne ever since. That week Michael and Bekah moved a lot of their stuff to their new house and I watched Sydne and Colton for them so....Ella had a fun time with them 2 times that week, and she keeps asking when they're going to come play again. Happy belated Birthday to Bekah by the way. I know that we've been horrible about keeping in touch lately, but know that we think of you often and we sure do miss seeing you guys!
Well, back to Mother's Day....immediately after church, we swung by Mom and Dad's and begged them to come out and take pictures with us. They came, and we got some really cute shots. Thanks again Mom and Dad :) So, we just chilled for the rest of the evening and had a nice time visiting. Brian purchased a lei for me to wear to church that day (I'm sure you'll noticed that in the photos). The Young Women were selling them for their Girls Camp fundraiser and it was so nice to see all the women at church wearing their pretty flowers. Our neighbors, Josh and Rebekah, dipped like 600 some strawberries and they handed those out at church as well (we each got 4 chocolate dipped strawberries and they came boxed and tied with silver ribbon). It was GREAT! Brian and I feel very blessed, and we want to let our Moms know especially how much we love and appreciate them. We love you both so much!!!!
Until next time...love and happiness - Kim
